We are committed to providing safe, nurturing and stimulating childcare that encourages children to explore, have fun, playing and learning in the homes of educators who are passionate about working with children.
We believe in developing responsive and reciprocal relationship based on secure, trusting attachments.
Trusting relationships are crucial in early learning years of development.
A home environment allows for such relationships to thrive, allows for flexible routines and caters for the individual needs of the child.

Our goal is to support children to learn and develop as confident and competent learners.
Based on our belief that all children are unique learners, we allow time and space for children to learn and develop to their full potential, in their foundation learning years.
Keeping children at the heart of the matter, we are committed to developing respectful relationships with all stakeholders (parents/whānau, educators, co-ordinators, external support agencies), who work collaboratively in the best interest of the child.
Health & Safety
Our team at Aroha4Kidz Home-based Childcare are privileged to be a part of a child’s precious early learning years of life and supporting their learning journey.
Our educators are supported by experienced and registered early childhood teachers.
Educators’ homes and people living in the home are safety checked to meet the Ministry of Education health and safety criteria.
Inclusive Culural Practice
At Aroha4Kidz, we value open communication and promote inclusive practices.
We uphold the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi as the founding document of Aotearoa/New Zealand and are committed to embracing our bi-cultural heritage.
We acknowledge and celebrate each child as who they are and what they bring into their learning space.
Children are supported to become life-long learners with a strong sense of their own cultural identity and that of others’ around them.
Rich Curriculum
Our dedicated, enthusiastic and skilled co-ordinators work collaboratively with the educators, children, and families/whānau supporting children’s interests, strengths and skills.
Children are supported to develop reflective, critical and complex thinking skills through participating in a language-rich environment that includes music, art, craft, stories, drama, pretend play experiences, physical play, exploring using their whole body and mind freely in their space.
Children are provided with opportunities to interact with people, places and things in the home as well as the outdoor environment, like the local parks/ library, community events as appropriate and develop a range of learning dispositions, nurturing their holistic development.
Partnership With Parents
We respect parents/whānau as the first teachers of their children.
Parents and whānau aspirations and working closely with families in the decision-making process around a child’s care and education are a vital aspect of our service.
We are committed to develop authentic partnerships with children and their families/ whānau to support children’s learning effectively.
